In 2013, he participated as a writer in the development of “Poder SA,” a comedy series adapted from Brazil to Mexico for HBO. With the short film "Mientras Duermo" he competed in the Monterrey International Film Festival and won the award for best screenplay at the 3 Shorts Mexico.
In 2016 and 2017, he participated as a writer in the series "Dogma," broadcast on TELEVISA's Channel 5, produced by Leonardo Zimbrón and directed by Carlos Carrera. He was also selected by the Raindance International Film Festival in London, for the Ibero-American co-production forum, for the script for his film "Yo Fausto." He also participated in the development of the "No Fue Mi Culpa," a series for Star+.
In 2021 and 2022, he participated as a writer in the development of "Harina," a series for Amazon. He also released his debut feature, "Yo Fausto," in commercial theaters, which won the Audience Award at the Lleida Film Festival in Spain. It was an official selection at the San Diego International Latino Film Festival, an official selection at the Cairo International Film Festival, and part of the official selection at the Guadalajara International Film Festival, among others.
Wrote and directed the Mexican version of "Murder Mystery" , following its success in London, Madrid and Paris. Produced by FEVER, a world-class entertainment company. He also directed "Harry Potter The Great Winter Ball" first official show in Latin America for Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. with Wizarding World. During 2023 Julio co-created and co-wrote the series "90 Minutes" for Peacock which is coming soon to Mexico. He is currently in post-production on his film "Requiem for Bruna".
