Daniel Giménez Cacho

Actor, director and producer. He is one of the greatest Ibero-American referents in the film, television and theater industry, winner seven times of the Ariel Award (the statuette awarded by the Mexican Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (Academia Mexicana de Artes y Ciencias Cinematográficas).

The film Sólo con tu pareja' (Only with your partner) (Dir. Alfonso Cuarón) is one of the titles that begins to make him known on a larger scale within the filmic panorama, followed by Cronos' (Dir. Guillermo del Toro) (Dir. Guillermo del Toro), a film that would earn him his first Ariel Award (1993).

From there came projects such as 'El Callejón de los Milagros' (The Alley of Miracles) (dir. Jorge Fons); 'Deep Crimson' (Dir. Arturo Ripstein) (Dir. Arturo Ripstein), with which he won his second Ariel Award. Ariel Award (1997); 'Aro Tolbukhin: In the Mind of the Assassin' (Dir. Isaac Pierre Racine). (Dir. Isaac Pierre Racine), one of the titles nominated to represent Mexico in contention for the Oscars. Roberto Sneider), work with which he would win the Canacine Award as Mexican Actor of the Year (2008); El Infierno' (The Inferno) (Dir. Luis Estrada); 'Colosio: The Assassination' (Dir. Carlos Bolado). (Dir. Carlos Bolado), winning with this participation the Silver Biznaga a Best Actor at the Malaga Film Festival (2013); 'Nicotina' (Dir. Hugo Rodríguez), with which he won his fourth Ariel Award Ariel Award (2004); 'Chicuarotes' (Dir. Gael García Bernal); El Diablo Entre las Piernas' (The Devil Between the Legs) (Arturo Ripstein, director); 'Blancanieves' (Snow White) (Dir Pablo Berger); 'Zama' (Dir. Lucrecia Martel); 'Zama' (Dir. (Dir. Lucrecia Martel); 'Bardo, false chronicle of a few truths' (Dir. Alejandro González Iñárritu). (Dir. That same year he would arrive with a new starring role in 'El Jockey' (The Jockey) (Dir. Luis Ortega), a film that had its world premiere in La Biennale di Venezia.

Giménez Cacho's talent transcends the big screen and has achieved equally outstanding performances in both theater and television. He completed post-production of his first feature film as director: 'Juana'. He has staged numerous productions at the El Milagro Theaterof which he is the founder, in Mexico City. In television he acted in Club de Cuervosthe first original Spanish-language series on Netflixand other productions such as '¿Quién mató a Sara?' (Netflix), 'Here on Earth' ( Netflix ), 'Here on Earth' ( Netflix ), and other productions such as 'Who Killed Sara? (FOX) y 'A Strange Enemy' (Prime Video). Directed for Mexican public television the fictional series 'Crónica de Castas' ('Chronicle of Castes') (Canal Once).

With a career spanning more than forty years, Giménez Cacho has received several awards in Mexico and abroad, including seven Ariel Awards. Ariel Awardsawards, two Canacine AwardsAwards, the ACPT AwardAward, the ACE Award New York and nominations to the Platinum Awards y Goya Awards.
