Urzula Barba Hopfner

His debut film "Corina" has had an extraordinary reception by the public and the press. It had its national premiere at the Guadalajara International Film Festival, where it won best feature film MADE IN JALISCO and continued its route through the Guanajuato International Film Festival where it was awarded the Press Award.

Until now, Urzula has dedicated his career to film editing with few exceptions in directing with his short films "QUIERO", premiered internationally in Mar del Plata and "CAMILA", premiered at the Morelia International Film Festival, winner of the award for best short film at the KINO International Film Festival in Poland.

Graduated from the Centro de Capacitación Cinematográfica with a major in Directing. She attended seminars in Dramatic Structure with Keith Cunningham and Thomas Schlesinger and Advanced Directing Workshop with Mark Travis at the University of Munich HFF, Germany.

Urzula co-writes his projects CAMILA and CORINA, which feature a deep dramatic narrative, balanced with flashes of intelligent comedy. His projects are injected with plastic aesthetics, endearing characters and cinematic rhythm.
