His first feature film stands out as the highest-grossing Mexican horror film of all time. The story is based on a widely known Mexican legend, “La Llorona,” which he wrote and directed, “Kilómetro 31”. In addition to its box office success, it earned six nominations and five awards at the Mexican Academy of Film Arts and Sciences, and he was named Director of the Year and Best Debut Film by the Mexican Directors’ Society. He directed the Hitchcockian psychological thriller “Blackout”, a film co-produced with England and Italy starring international stars Aidan Guillen, Armie Hammer, and Amber Tamblyn. He then directed the sequel “Km31-2”, a Mexican film that once again dominated the box office, and “Sin Origen”, a film that screened at festivals including Salem FF, Drop Moscow, Lusca FF, San Diego Latino, FrightFest London, Fantaspoa Portugal, Macabro, and Mórbido, marking the first vampire film in Mexico in over 20 years. 

He is active in television as a director, writer, and producer; in the series “M13DOS” (Televisa), he creates one of the few horror anthologies in our country. He has also participated in projects across different genres, such as: “Terminales”, “Paramédicos” and “Hasta que te conocí”, nominated for the International EMMY Awards. He also directs the acclaimed series “Diablero” for Netflix and the eight episodes of the Amazon series set in Mexico and the United States, “Soldados contra Zombies” (SOZ), which has enjoyed unprecedented success in the American market and is available on the platform. In late 2024, he premiered “Turno Nocturno” a feature film that ranks among the top 10 highest-grossing films of 2024 with 630,000 viewers. He is currently filming a new feature film
