On television, we’ve seen him in productions such as, ‘Las Viudas de los Jueves’ on Netflix, ‘¿Quién es la Máscara?’ from Televisa, and the acclaimed international show also from Netflix, “Nailed It! Mexico”, as well as ‘Love Is Blind: Mexico’ (Netflix).
His roles on the international stage include ‘Pokémon: Detective Pikachu’, in which he shares the screen with Ryan Reynolds and Justice Smith;‘Stuck’ (Dir. Michael Berry), a winner at festivals such as Breckenridge and Napa Valley; ‘Show Dogs’ (Dir. Raja Gosnell), where she starred alongside Will Arnett and Natasha Lyonne; ‘Color Box’ (Dir. In 2017, Omar sold out shows in more than 50 cities across the United States with his show “Imparables”, including the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. In 2023, he packed the Teatro Metropolitan in Mexico City with his show ‘Yo Soy Omar Chaparro’, a show he himself describes as an experience where all the paths of his artistic being come together, and which will soon be touring U.S. cities as well.
In recent years, Omar has continued to expand his career with projects that explore new genres and formats. In 2024, he hosted ‘Love Is Blind: Mexico’ (Netflix), alongside Lucy Chaparro, and starred in the feature film ‘Un viaje al corazón’. In 2025, he appeared in the animated film ‘Batman Azteca: Choque de Imperios’, where he lent his voice to the character “Yoka,” as well as starring in the drama ‘La celda de los milagros’, one of the most significant acting challenges of his career. In 2026, he ventured into action cinema with ‘Venganza,’ reaffirming his constant quest to reinvent himself and explore new facets as a performer. At the same time, he continues to develop his musical career with the release of original material and new international projects for film and television.
