Lorena González

Lorena E. Gonzalez is a Mexican-American actress, executive producer, writer and director born in San Antonio, Texas, and raised in Mexico.

Since graduating from USC' s M.A. in Acting program in 2021, Lorena has acted in several plays such as. 'Mother Sisters' at The Echo Theatre Company in LA, and in short films like 'Everyday Shit' (Official Selection of the 2023 LA International Short Film Festival, winner of 'Best Indie Film' and 'Best Producer' at the Venice Short Film Festival, and winner of 'Best Emerging Filmmaker' at the LA Women's Independent Film Awards ), a film about violence against women, which she also wrote, produced and directed. And in feature films such as 'Switch Up' (2024) produced by Elizabeth Avellan.

In addition to acting, she is a member of UNICEF' s Next Gen LA Board and an advocate for various social justice organizations and causes. Lorena is also a practitioner and meditator of the modern Kadampa Buddhist tradition.
