José Ramón Chávez

He graduated from the Centro de Capacitación Cinematográfica, specializing in Directing, graduating Cum Laude, with the short film "De fut".

He has worked as Assistant Director in several film projects among which stand out: "Tercera Llamada" by Francisco Franco, "Esto no es berlin" by Hari Sama, "Te prometo Anarquia" by Julio Hernandez Cordon, "Los Crimenes de mar norte y La fórmula de Dr. Funes " ," Los Crimenes de mar norte y La fórmula de Dr. Funes " , " Los Crimenes de mar norte y La fórmula de Dr. Funes", "Los Crimenes de mar del norte y La fórmula del Dr funes" by José Buil, "7:00 a.m." by José Buil, "7:00 a.m. by José Buil, "7:19" and "Perdida" among others.

In 2016 he filmed his debut feature "Ayudame a pasar la noche" with which he won the Audience Award at FICG 2018, the Press Award at GIFF 2018 and was nominated for two Ariel Awards: Best Male Revelation and Best First Film. In 2019 he shot his second feature film "Después de Ti" which was part of the official selection of FICG 2020 and FICGLA of the same year.

In early 2022 he shot his third feature film "How to Kill Mom" for the Star+ platform which was released theatrically in May 2023.

He has directed series such as "Madre Solo hay 2" and "El Niñero" for the Netflix platform, which was very well received by the audience and remained in the Top 10 for weeks, and "Volver a Caer" for the VIX platform. He recently premiered "Papá Soltero" series produced by Onza Tv for VIX and is currently filming a series for Netflix.
